Computer security stickies

As new member I went through the stickies and found that some pretty
good software was not mentioned (or maybe I just missed it).

Panda Cloud Antivirus.
Certainly better than AVG and can easily compete with Avira and Avast! I
have found it to be lighter than all the other, which may be an
important variable for those that do not have state-of-the-art hardware.

PREVX
has a very good free scanner. This free version doesn´t clean up, but
detecting is a huge part of the work and it is system light and can
easily run together with your favorite AV.

Sandboxie
is amazing. Sandboxing your web browser at the moment you decide to
leave treaded paths is a pretty good idea. Also an excellent way to try
new software, although in that case I would actually prefer Virtualbox.

Threatfire is, last time I heard, a pretty good HIPS that is a good addition if your AV is 100% sig based.

Clonezilla
is not a security app, but making an image of your system
disk/partition and storing it elsewhere asures you never need to dish
out that WIN install CD/DVD again. A good idea is to keep your system
partition with OS/programs separated from your data (music, movies,
documents etc) to make the images manageable.
