Victory hold Brisbane women goalless

Table-topping Brisbane Roar have been held to a goalless draw by the Melbourne Victory in their W-League match at Epping Stadium.

Melbourne's Stephanie Caitley burst through on goal twice but failed to make the most of the rare opportunities, before the Roar pushed late in an effort to break the deadlock.

The Roar's Amy Chapman came close with a 25-yard free kick before Tameka Butt had two chances late on but failed to find a finish that would have won the game.

Brisbane remains top of the W-League table with 19 points from 8 games, while the Victory move up to fourth above Perth with 10 points.
