As a part of the ProBlogger Top 5 Group Writing Project, here are my 5 favorite ‘blogging related’ OS X Dashboard widgets.

WordPress Dash – download

I’m not sure I’d use WordPress Dash to compose full posts, but it makes for a fantastically quick way to jot down post ideas and save them as drafts for later. With that said, there’s absolutely no reason you can’t use it to compose full posts – you can even select the categories for your post right from within the widget.
Dashalytics – download

If you like to keep a close eye on how your blogs are performing, and you use Google Analytics to track your site metrics, Dashalytics is for you. At a quick glance you can see how many visitors and/or pageviews you’ve had over the last 24 hours, 7 days, and 12 months.
